144 MHz Fixed Station Culmulatives 1997 Probably one of my favourite contests, mainly because it seems to fit around all the domestic duties without causing too much disruption to family life, so I am greatly heartend to see so many entries this time around. The low power section was well supported, so it warrented a section to itself for the final scores; it was interesting that whilst scoring the contest I had originally had both low and high power stations in one group, some of you running 25W or less really did very well. Conditions werenşt excellent but tropo was good for the 2nd and third sessions; Işm only sorry that I couldnt enter due to parents evening etc. The scoring was pretty straightforward, ie 1pt per QSO x Squares, and although there were a couple of comments saying that it disadvantaged fringe stations I think its a good formula; if you have any comments please let me know. The standard of logs was also pretty good but I would just like to remind people that if sending in logs via E-mail/disk please make sure all relevent info is included.
