SOAPBOX:
2E0RFS
Heavy QRM difficult to separate stations conditions
improving. Hope to do better next time.
2E0TJX
Got on late!
2E0YDX
New to contesting and even newer to contesting
software but improving each time
G0ADH
Much quieter after 9:00
G0AJJ
Started well but activity dropped off after 9pm
G0AOJ
Band was in good shape until 21:00
SD is great contest logging programe...Thanks paul
G0DAY
Started off ok but the 9 o clock turn off hit again
after that just a few long skip left
and of course SD worked without a hitch
G0FYX
Short skip again for the last 25 minutes
Super Duper logging program excellent
G0IIQ
Started off OK and went downhill from there
G0KDS
Uuuuuuuum qrp gets harder
G0KYS
Conditions fairly normal for first hour, then QRM
faded. GMs were cleaning up again!
G0LHZ
Great fun but was two contests - up to 9 pm it was a
UK contest after 9 pm it was a GM contest!
G0LWU
Tnx for contest. The output power was 100w
G0MRH
Conditions poor in the Midlands but a few GM's
came through with good signals
G0MTN
Windy so left antenna without support. Left contest a Very hard S+P competition.
G0OKF
SD works -- as ever.
G0RAF
Enjoyable event - band seemed to go flat at 21:00Hrs
G0UIQ
not bad was ok
G0WHO
Went very well at the start then conditions changed and only German
stations audible in the lower band. However some cracking GM stations
in the upper part
G0WJX
Ten Tec Orion 1 1/2 G5RV (extended)
G3GHS
yes I did but conditions bad qrz used too much by stns
G3GWB
Usual sudden and dramatic change in skip distance - this
time around 21.00. SD worked fine for this contest except
RF getting into the PC caused spurious characters to appear
in the log fields - not noticed until several contacts had
made.
G3HRH
Band closed (as usual) around 21.10
Skip went very long but GM still OK
G3IZD
conditions excellent for first 50 mins or so then high noise level throughout band and less good UK propagation
G3KNU
Who switches the band off at 2100? Roll on clock change
G3LDI
Band folded again at 9 p.m. here, tough going after that.Almost went and made a cuppa!
G3LHJ
Had ATC commitments tonight - only mamaged last 30mim
and condxs crazy very long skip and the GM's having
a ball again.
G3LIK/P
Different conditions from the Midlands. Long skip only in the last half hour. Put log on SD after getting home
G3LLK
Skip went long after 9 p.m. Could only hear distant stations after that and activity very low.
G3NDJ
good fun contest-band conditions quite good
good logging programme
G3NPF
Very strange conditions. Lots of stations and QRM for the first
45 minutes, then, within the space of a few minutes, no stations, no
QRM, only long skip GMs and a few continentals.
G3OLB
It happened again! Someone switched the band off at 2115!
G3PHO
I was fortunate enough to find a clear spot on 3642kHz right at the
start and managed to maintain a run on it until just after 2100z, after
which the plug was pulled and most of the UK stations disappeared to be
replaced with DL, PA, OK, UAs and like. After 2-3 QSOs a minute up to
9pom I only managed 10 contacts in the last 25 minutes!
G3PSM
First time in an SSB contest for many years. A bit of
tweaking to do to the setup. Band went long skip at 2100
G3PYC
Using SD is a must for the likes of me
G3RRL
Good contest some very big scores and the band died 210
G3RSD
Used sd worked perfectly
G3SNU
Managed to get calling spot at 2055 band went out at 2110.
G3TXF
A real struggle. Unbelievable rate during the first three minutes. But
lost the good starting frequency so after. Never got going again. The
GMs were pounding in. And after the 21z propagation switch-off the Gs
just disappeared leaving only the GMs plus a few distinterested EUs.
G3VCA
A good contest apart from the band dropping out after 9pm.
G3VMY
Change of antenna gave poor results. No choice
QRV on 80m in the balance for now.
G3VPW
Hard going after 21:00 when just hearing GM
G3VUS
noisy band and G sigs disappeared after 2100
G3WVG
ft1000mp (100 watt version) + dipole at 70ft.
Band suddenly closed to G at 2100.
G3YHV
band faded out at 2100 !
G3YOA
Good contest high scores worked. Easy with SD
G3ZBU
Very odd conditions with things getting very quiet after 21:00. However
very interesting CW pile-ups to be heard at the bottom of 80m so there
must be some interesting DX.
G3ZGC
A real problem being jammed out for the first 30 minutes. I nearly gave
up because of it. Conditions went at 20:50 with me. One station had a
full QSO which also lowered the score!
G3ZHE
Another north cheshire slog with critical freq at 3.4 Mhz at 2100
G3ZVW
Brilliant conditions at the start but antenna problems, so not being heard. S&P only.
In the words of The Terminator, "I'll be back!"
G4BUO
Thought I was on for a big score but the band died just before 9pm
G4CKH
Lots of activity, but short skip peetered out around 2100
hrs. For the last half hour only gm's audiable. Really
enjoy these short format contests. Looking forward to the next.
G4DDX
skip changed just before nine and down went the qso
rate but not for the GM's. Shows up my poor antenna.
I useed SD as usual.
G4FAL
The band died at 9pm so I had a lovely qso with Serg somewhere over the
Urals, hi. However the Mighty Blades have won 3 on the trot so things
are looking up.
G4FKA
Dreadful. Worst SSB leg for years! Band wide open but could hardly be heard so something not right with the station.
G4FNL
Thanks to all for the QSO's. Conditions changed in the last 45mins.
Went from a rate of over 200 per hour to 35 per hour within 15 mins.
(Sorry that I caused QRM to Nigel G3TXF at one stage)
G4FQI
Who switched the band off at 2100? First ever ssb contest and using SD logger, be back next time so couldnt have been that bad
G4GZB
SD was very effective again.
Signals good, but disappeared at 2100hrs.
G4OGB
Similar condx to last week. SD worked well again.
G4OOC
SD Superb once again.
I really enjoy using SD it makes thing so easy
G4RCD
Got a good start held, a frequency until conditions
changed dramatically about 30 minutes from the end
Used SD for Logging
G4RCG
This session was very very noisy and difficult to pull the weaker
stations out. The band went dead on me at 21.10 and only worked a few
stations after that time. Still enjoyed it.
G4VUD
better than last ssb contest, could actually hear stations
G4ZGP
Competing against some very powerful stations but
using a poor 80m antenna. Enjoyable nevertheless
G5KC
1/4 Wave Vertical Antenna is not appropriate for this contest
G6FOP
new rig, must learn how to use it
G6KWA
Conditions seemed good but early end due to tvi !!
Now sorted ready for next time
G7RFB
A little better than last time
G7SKR
First Ever Contest - Good Fun - Looking forward to Data
G7VRK
Best this year so far. SD work ok as allways
G8FMJ/P
change in conditions made the second half interesting
with some good DX, but hard work.
G8MIA
Conditions changed at around 9pm only long skip
G8RCK
condx ok til 2100hrs ish
G8YMW
Very hight static (local i think ?)
GM3POI
Good condx for a change
GM3ZBE
Used Win-test for the first time, no problems. Band was extremely busy and noisy used 12dB rx attenuation the whole time.
GW4BLE
By way of 'experiment', made a rash decision just a minute before the
start of contest that I would exclusively S & P for the first hour.
Bad decision!
