SOAPBOX:
2E0AIV
First Contest not high score but happy with first cont
found this program easy to use
2E0RFS
Very noisy band conditions
2E0TQR
Enjoyed my first attempt at a SSB Contest, will do
better next time.
2E0ZDA
Lots of QRP. I loved it!!!
G0AAA
There
were a few "unbeleiveably" strong signals on the band tonight. Sadly
mine wasn't one of them! Is it simply conditions and location? My 100w
to a dipole at 70ft from Surrey wasn't in the same league!
G0AFQ
Good Conditions
G0AJJ
Heavy QRM but good fun!
G0AOJ
Band was very crowded, very good conditions and low noise level here.
SD is brilliant contest logging software
G0DAY
What
a racket- This contest appears to get more people entering this contest
every month - can't be a bad thing though. Space is now much used
up-how can theses contests keep expanding ?
G0DVJ
Good conditions. Not many Europeans as previous sessions
Good fun as always
G0EUN
Very good conditions, but crowded.
G0FYX
Plenty of activity. SD faultless.
G0HIK
Good Fun, band got very noisey after 50 mins.
G0HSA
First time over the 100 qso barrier. A big improvement on last month's
efforts. Can't wait for the final series in July
SD was faultless as usual
G0IIQ
A most enjoyable evening
G0KYS
Started 10 mins late, so no prep. Got lucky at 0830 and
found a frequency. However another station started up
1kHz up and stopped anyone hearing me - great!
Struggled on with S&P for last 20 mins.
G0LGJ/M
Laptop batt failed 20:00 gmt. Hayfever bad! enjoyed contest
G0MTN
Antenna
fell down before the contest - most of it was at 10 feet. Didn't feel
as loud as usual, but being in the Midlands helped for the mid-summer
session.
G0OKF
Conditions improving since last round.
SD is as named --super..
G0ORH/P
Used
my K2/100 which I built last year, and battery power for the first time
on SSB. The K2 was excellent. I think I worked everything I heard. Did
not S & P. Laptop battery just made it.
G0RAF
Problem with psu voltage. Thank you to all those who
managed to work me. Well done to the stations who were
being jammed by music, blank carriers and recordings
of other contest contacts and still kept going.
G0UIQ
good contest tnks to all
G0VZQ
Used it Post contest this time until I gain experience
It is still useful.
G0WHO
Very enjoyable mutual interference with fax
G0WJX
SD was excellent for warning of dupes.
G1OAC
too much qrm 9+ could not make out any calls
only hear locals
G1RVP
enjoyed the contest. Thanks to all contacts.
G3GLL
Lots of QRM ! SD worked fine
G3HRH
Very busy but enjoyable. A lot of very strong signals
Managed to get through the QRM most times
G3IZD
Noise and continental QRM rapidly increses after 1950.
G3LHJ
Enjoyable as ever activity still quite high - holes still hard to find
and hold Hi. one more to go for 2008. 73 de Derrick
G3MGW
This is a great contest with many operators enjoying it
SD is easy to use and makes looging so simple. I use a simple
antenna and 50Watts everyone can join in
G3MXH
Band conditions quite good but hard to work through the QRM at times.
Nice to be back on the air at my new QTH.
G3NDJ
enjoyed contest. sd good to use
G3PHO
Wow!
Things went like a bomb for the first 70 mins then I foolishly left my
run frequency, which I'd used from the start, to go hunting.. a big
mistake as my scoring rate dropped. Still, I can't grumble
with
over 130 QSOs . A terrible S9+ 30 noise above 3670kHz made the top
section unusable here.
G3PYC
For me SD is indispensible
G3RRL
Good contest again enjoyed working for the 90 minutes.
G3RSD
Used "sd" worked perfectly
G3SJJ
Propagation
around UK seemed good with many 2Eo and M3 stations. I experienced some
deliberate jamming but the DSP filtering on the K3 worked efectively
and no QSOs were missed.
G3SVD
A good way to spend an
evening, 1 hour run mode then the skip seemed to change so I moved to
S&P and finished quite pleased with myself. I was amused to be
given a serial number of 230 after about an hour by another
competitor, I queried it twice and was told it was correct. I
really do like this contest format. I wonder if when we get
some
sunspots to make it worth while some HF contests could be organised in
this short but regular format?
G3TBK
Very noisy conditions tonight..
G3TKF
Good conditions and low qrm for a change !
G3TXF
Even with an identical station and antenna results can vary
dramatically
from one 80m CC to the next. A freq which appears to work reasonably
well in the first few minutes of the contest can, if unlucky, soon
descend into a bottomless pit of miscellaneous noises, continental nets
and splatter from both sides. It's all part of the fun of the 80m CCs!
G3VCA
A good contest spoilt only by certain people deliberatly tuning up and
making derogatory comments about contests
G3VIP
RIG IC7000 10W - 50M LW - Homebrew logger
a struggle on QRP
G3VPW
Ran the first hour then S&P until the end, still don't have the
balance right !
G3YEC
Why oh why do some stations just repeatedly only say
"QRZ" and never give their callsigns for several
calls. They rely on "us" calling them but for how
much longer. In a contest you cannot wait for ever
for his call only to learn you worked him 10 minutes
G3YOA
Used SD as usual
G3ZBU
Downloaded latest SD this afternoon but left it
on 10m band so had to manually 'fix' the log!
G3ZGC
Very noisy QTH but somehow managed ok. Antenna 132 ft wire wrapped into
55 ft garden ht 40ft. 100w. IC7700.
G3ZHE
single op 100w low good night 73 albert
G3ZVW
Plenty of activity and plenty of QRM to go with it.
G4ARN/P
great fun but would be better if the practice of
"reserving the frequency" is stopped somehow
G4DDX
Enjoyed the contest, did not lose my voice this time
after taking tablets.Used SD which makes it so easy.and
my score is getting better
G4ERW
Spent too much time trying to find 'clear' (!) frequencies!
G4FNL
Conditions seemed good for inter-G QSO's. It was nice
to have a reasonable rate throughout the contest.
Thanks to everyone for the QSO's.
G4FSU
Bit of a rush - arrived back from airport 15 minutes
before the start. Rig wouldn't talk to logger, SWR
horrible, so just carried on anyway!
G4GZB
Enjoyed the contest. All went well. SD worked well again.
G4IUF
Another good night
G4OOC
The band was definitely crowded good condx
SD really is SUPERB
G4RCG
Very noisy start with extremly strong qrm but just
steady way did not go S&P untill the last 20 mins and
managed to pick up quite a few more. Very enjoyable, SD
G4VUD
Conditions good, not much north & south, plenty east &
SD works very well, getting the hang of it now
G4ZGP
Would prefer a better aerial for 80m
G7SHG
