432 MHz Contest August 2000

Although accompanied by fine WX, propagation conditions seemed to be universally poor for this event. This is reflected in the QSO numbers and best DX results in the logs. It may also be the case that some potential entrants defected to 6m as conditions were excellent at the time.

This contest was hard work for most people and it is to be hoped that things are improved next time around. There is a serious lack of activity outside contests on 70cm these days and this band is prime territory for commercial operators in the communications and short-range device industries. Certificates go to the winners and runners up in each category and see you for the next one.
