2^nd 144MHz Backpackers Contest of 1998

Most of the contestants reported conditions during the contest as excellent for the two hours. The conditions then deteriorated to just very good for the rest of the contest! Most stations found plenty of DX to work, which helped to produce good scores. The weather was not kind to some stations with fog and strong winds reported. Other stations reported nice warm, sunny weather.
