There is a new-look calendar for VHF contests this year. Each calendar entry has a link to a page detailing all the information required for that event, including contest rules, report exchange, scoring etc.
The calendar is also available as an Icalendar file which can be imported to many popular applications including Outlook. Find out more about Icalendars here and download the file here

We have revised the VHF General Rules relating to the use of the DX Cluster and other spotting/chat networks (including internet facilities for example ON4KST) in RSGB VHF and UHF contests. See here for details.
The number of sessions used to calulate the final listings in the UKAC contests has been increased from 6 to 8
The web based log entry system will continue to be available for 2008 contests, for anyone who prefers not to use a computer based logging program. This will enable entrants to transfer their log after the contest into an electronic form. This should do away with the need for anyone to send in a paper-based log, although these will still be acceptable if an entrant has no access to the Internet. Click here to use the web based log entry system.
Now that new licence regulations have been introduced to make the use of the /P suffix optional when operating portable, portable stations will still be required to sign /P when taking part any VHF contest. All stations entering in VHF NFD must use the /P suffix. See General Rule 3(b) and VHF NFD Rule 3.
The RSGB VHF Contests Committee, which organises these contests, welcomes ideas, feedback and constructive criticism which can be e-mailed to chairman@vhfcc.org or sent to any committee member.
